Purpose of Nevuah

When Hashem spoke to Bnei Israel on Har Sinai they were scared because they were overwhelmed by Him. Moshe was then appointed to be the one that would talk to Hashem and relay the message to Bnei Israel. Moshe became the Navi in Shemot. In Devarim Hashem told us that we would still have navim even after Moshe died. There are several different purposes for nevuah. One purpose is for the prophet himself. It wasn't told to other people, it was only for him so it helped him understand the navuah better. The next reason is because Hashem wanted to prevent Bnei Israel from sinning. Hashem gave them a message of what they should and shouldn't be doing. 

I like the last reason for nevuah. I like that a reason that Hashem has nevuah is in order to keep Bnei Israel from sinning. Hashem gave them a message of how they should act and that they shouldn't be sinning. I think them having a nevuah message like that from Hashem made them not sin as much, since we don't have that today that could be a reason as to why we sin more today.
