The Jew were sinning a lot and there were many flaws in their system. One of the sins the Jews were doing was not being just in business. They were cheating people by putting tin in the silver they were selling so that it would weigh more. This made the 'silver' cost more money, this is against Judiasm. We are not allowed to do this.
Nowadays, people tend to purpose gimmicks to gain money unfairly. Many Jews have business's so they should be careful with this mitzvah. Some Jews who have grocery stores over price their merchandise and produce. This is a violation of the Mitzvah shown here. We need to be very careful not to overprice our merchandise and be honest with our business.
I agree with your statements. Some things at stores are way overpriced and it's not right to charge that much for what the customer is receiving.
